Delhi And Its Own Magnificent Charm-Part

I am a resident of Mumbai and an engineering student. Last week, I had to go to Delhi, as I had my entrance exam here. I was really excited to come to this place because I am a ‘bad-baaaad’ travel freak. Carrying with me loads of amazement and over-whelmed for exams, I came to Delhi. The moment I came-in, I could see that the nation’s capital is nothing short of anything and has its own charm. Each and every person here portrays a different story altogether, different and unique. I could see that Delhi is at par with Mumbai in terms of honking buses, cycles, bike, rickshaws and a slight negligence in any way, be it by a pedestrian or a bike rider can cost them heavy! If I talk about houses and space availability, okay…lets not go there.

I was lucky enough to have my accommodation at my friend’s place. I reached late Saturday night and had my exam the very next morning. I thought that likewise best restaurants in Mumbai, I will get to savour best breakfast, but alas! Being a new-bie to Delhi traffic, I was late and had to rush to the exam centre. I would say that lady luck showered her blessings on me that day and I could reach there on-time. I was only a few minutes late, which otherwise I thought I would never be able to. Post exam, I was on verge of felling down…I was hungry and was struggling badly with every move. I haven’t had anything since morning and above all, I had to bear chest-congesting pollution. Now, in the follow up post, I will share what made me  come back well fed…
Stay hooked…to be continued…

Best Breakfasts

The Vada Pav can send Mumbai into a spin, anytime. The favourite tea-time snack that sells like hotcakes on street-lined shops and modish joints alike, is also the prime breakfast menu that leaves a thousand palates wanting for more. So make sure there’s a ‘chutney-drooped’ pair on your plate the next time you hit the table!

If a light breakfast is more like what you want, go for the traditional Khamand Dhokla, the soft, spongy, and healthy version made out of chickpea splits. Restaurants in Mumbai have mastered this Gujarati snack served best a cup of hot, ginger-laced tea.

Between the Dhokla and Vada Pav, you have the dosa and idli, the quintessential south-Indian breakfast served with a spicy serving of ‘sambhar’ and coconut chutney. The USP of the dosa is its wide range which allures palates from all around the country and the world.

The basic version, the sada dosa, a hot favourite is a thin, crisp rice-fermented pancake. The other versions range from masala dosa to onion and rava dosa and more, all of which differ in their stuffing. Some of the best restaurants in Mumbai have added their own to the signature south Indian dish with iterations like the spring dosa and Chinese dosa.

best restaurants in bangalore

First of all, make the guest list. Obviously, any of your friends will definitely feel bad if you forgot to invite him. So, by not taking any risk, do make a guest list that has the list of people whom you want to invite. Once you are done with your guest list, the next thing that you have to carry out is to calculate budgets of how much can you afford to spend and how much are you actually spending. The third step is to send invitations to the people in your list. You can call them personally or you can even have printed invitation cards to make it a formal invitation. It is preferable to send the invitations two weeks prior to the actual day of the party.

At last, you need to have the drinks, oh no, I must say cocktails. You can even prepare them at home but it would be really difficult for you to prepare for a group of people and for that purpose you can order it. You can get best cocktails in almost every part of India but yes, there are best restaurants in Bangalore that serve the best cocktail that you can ever get in India.

Eating out in Delhi is an unforgettable experience

Food is the mainstay of the culinary world and in a place like Delhi that witnesses an amalgamation of the traditional and the new, one can only imagine what they could be served with on their plates. When deciding where and what to eat, chic and welcoming fine dine establishment springs up on our minds. Are we neglecting the basics? Street food has been a vital part of our lives.

As kids we’d run to a nearby street food vendor for paani poori or a chaat and not a fine dine. As we grow, we chose to see only the shinier and glossier picture and follow the modern trend of eating out at fine dines just because it makes us look good – adds to our image and impression. We fail to understand that the joys in life are with the finer and little things and the joy and excitement of gorging on paani poori could never substitute for an 8-course meal at a restaurant.

There are restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and even snacks, but would we really visit a restaurant for a quick bite? Some would, but the larger population are somewhat always found snacking away at roadside stalls and rickshaw food hawkers.

restaurant in vasant kunj

Last week, we went to this fantastic restaurant in Vasant Kunj in New Delhi and the experience was wonderful. The menu selection was just apt and had all that we were looking forward to. This place reflects a rustic feel that I could somehow connect with to a traditional highway food stall. It was an experience most cognitive to eating out with friends rather than this group of wonderful middle-aged individuals. Memories of evenings spent on-campus in Delhi and eating out at this food stall that served a variety of paranthas flooded in.

These are memories that stay alive and if any restaurant in Delhi could trigger that feel, it would be worth my time and money.

On a foremost note, do not try to get into mess of all that fancy-fancy looks and interiors. Even if the place looks average, it will suffice the requirements as long as you’ll able to cater to the requirements of your customers. If it’s a restaurant and/or an eating joint, there has to be excellence in taste factors. Being an entrepreneur, if you compromise with interior a bit, it will still work for a moment, but the day, customers will lose charm of the feeling that while eating at your restaurant, they feel like savoring cuisines of best restaurants in Mumbai or your restaurant has one of the best burger in delhi taste that customers do not get to enjoy anywhere else, here comes the best compliment. So you need to take care of these things and prioritize things according to taste and preferences of your customers and this is something that you make you cover a long way ahead and will reward you with stability, which is the biggest sought-after stuff for entrepreneurs in every genre.
